Morgan E. Grubola
A lifetime of training and performing has prepared Ms. Grubola for being a professional dancer. Her teaching skills and philosophy come from formal training in pedagogy and personal experience.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Ms. Grubola began her training under Helen Starr. Ms. Grubola danced with the Louisville Ballet Civic Company, performing in a variety of ballets such as Cinderella, The Firebird, Giselle, and Swan Lake. She graduated from the College Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati with a B.F.A. in dance performance and teaching.
Ms. Grubola danced leading roles at the Conservatory including a solo in Paquita, Napoli, and Swan Lake. She also was cast in lead roles in contemporary works, such as Landscape/Horizon Choreographed by Sean Curran and Esplanade choreographed by Paul Taylor where Ms. Grubola had a showcasing role. She has continued to dance as a guest artist in many ballet and modern companies throughout the states. She additionally has received many awards and accolades for her choreography.
Ms. Grubola has developed the M.E.G. technique after discovering traditional technique does not address the developing body of the youngest ballet student. Mixing imagination, introductory steps, and developmental education best practices has lead to the very successful M.E.G. technique. As a teacher, her strength is in offering the best possible dance experience for children and instilling performance skills while protecting and building the fragile bodies of young dancers.
