The foundation of any dance school is the quality of teaching and the dance experience your youngest students receive. Capturing the interest and energy of children at an early age translates into well-trained, and involved students who will want to dance their whole lives. The Tiny Toes Master Class provides your teacher with innovative teaching strategies, a progressive curriculum, and music which will instill a love of dance in your youngest students. The Tiny Toes Master Class uses the M.E.G. technique. The trademarked M.E.G. technique combines movement, expression and growth to develop the whole child. The M.E.G. Technique teaching method is developmentally correct and uses best practices.
M - Movement: Creative movement provides children with healthy and fun exercise which builds strength and flexibility. Strengthening the core muscles correctly aligns and supports the skeleton symmetrically, encouraging good balance and posture. E - Expression: Dance is a performance art and the interpretation of thought and feeling into movement is what makes it magic! Although good technique is critical in a dancer, acting skills and expression should not be sacrificed. Children’s natural expressive qualities and imagination should be nurtured and encouraged. G - Growth: Cognitive growth in young children is inexorably linked to growth in physical coordination and health. Active imaginations and bodies strengthen brain activity. |
